Brett Favre Arrives In Minnesota, Vikings Schedule Announcement For Tonight – The Cardboard Connection
Three Vikings left Minnesota for Mississippi last night, four Vikings returned on a private jet within the last hour. Last night Jared Allen, Ryan Longwell, and Steve Hutchinson spent the night at Brett Favre’s Hattiesburg estate. Reportedly, Favre told them that he would be wearing purple for the 2010 NFL Season.
The Vikings private jet carrying the 40-year-old gunslinger landed at the Minneapolis-St.Paul International Airport around 4:00 pm Tuesday afternoon. Favre was immediately escorted to the Vikings headquarters in Eden Praire, Minnesota.
Favre’s website posted a message earlier saying “stay tuned for breaking news from the Minnesota Vikings today on Brett Favre’s possible return.”
There’s still no official word from the Vikings, but the helicopters, hundreds of excited Vikings’ fans gathered outside the facility suggest that the the “Silver Fox” will be taking the field in Week 1 of the 2010 NFL Season to avenge an unpaid debt against the Saints, the team that wrecked his ankle on a late hit in the 2009 NFC Championship game.
