Venus Williams’ French Open outfit vs. US Open outfit
Here’s the question on the table: Is the world of tennis the place for lace, ruffles and rhinestones?
In May, tennis star Venus Williams made headlines when she wore a lacy, ruffled black-and-white outfit that looked more designed for the bedroom than the tennis court at the French Open. Giving spectators even more of an eye full was its propensity to fly up revealing … flesh-colored shorts underneath.
On Sunday (Sept. 5), Venus played in the U.S. Open and decided to dispense with a skirt altogether, instead donning black short shorts and a pink top festooned with thousands of tiny rhinestones.
“So far this year my outfits have been based on the cities that I play in,” Venus tells fans. “This outfit was supposed to be about New York. It’s like bursts of fireworks.”
Does this mean that she thinks France is about bordellos?
